Toledo painter Dave Wisniewski is featured in the Heritage Room in Adrian College’s Shipman Library March 10 – 27. Wisniewski usually paints lawmen, outlaws, and farmers from America’s old west, in oil paintings scaled larger than life-size.
Wisniewski made his living as a commercial artist until, in 1987, he lost much of his vision to diabetic retinopathy. After rehabilitation and with assistance from the Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired, he entered the University of Toledo to pursue a Bachelor of Art degree in painting. He graduated summa cum laude in 1998.
The public is welcome. The exhibit is on view during library hours.
